Are You A Photo Maniac?

Don’t look at me, because my answer to that is no. Fedhz is even complaining how I never have any pictures of me or Svet up in here or at my other site. Thing is, I was never (but I’m not saying I never WILL BE) much of a photo person. Maybe I haven’t found the right camera for me, maybe I’m just plain afraid of my own face, whatever. I get it that memories captured tend to last a little longer than those which, well, just stay in your mind. But what of photo papers that fade, get scratches and stains, or of disk drives that you store your photos in which get viruses? The latter I can prevent by using those unbelievably expensive anti-virus software, or just my common sense. But what of the former?

Here’s what. I found out that there are actually amazing slide scanning services out there which aim to retain color slides and the memories that go with it for mere cents. Did I say cents? Yep. $0.26, to be exact. Are these guys good Samaritans? No. They have a business to run. But what is a business without satisfied and loyal customers? So they focus on quality and affordability. Good call. VERY wise marketing strategy. Who doesn’t want a cheap deal these days, I ask? Hell, we settle for cheap even if we know we are getting exactly what we pay for. So why not go for a service that gives you the best of both worlds? I’m not professing to be a photo lover, but for those who do, I’m sure you’ll find the work of these guys at Slide Scanning Pro pretty impressive.

Ack. Now I don’t have any excuses for NOT becoming a photo maniac. Except for the fear of my own face. Damn. Do we even have a label for that?
