The Poet Lorenzo
I have always been curious if Zorlone is, well, Zorlone’s real name. It turns out it’s just an anagram of his real name, which I figured out to be Lorenzo. He describes his self-titled blog Zorlone.com as a site showcasing “thoughts translated into words“. His own space in the web where he publishes his poems, his haikus, and everything creative writing. Every post is introduced with an intriguing picture or a lovely landscape worthy of being called a wallpaper, which is very much related to the following post. He also features works of his fellow poets and creative writers like Jena Isle, so if you’re also one, you might find it interesting and beneficial to visit Zorlone’s blog.
Fedhz forcefully pointed out to me that Zorlone has already made a cinquain for her, and it was so good I had to concede and copy it here
:
Home,
unconventionally solid,
writing walls of experience,
warm and fuzzy contemplations,
family.
One thing I noticed that this blog is lacking: a category list. I wanted to read all his haikus (if there are any others) because I was fascinated by the one from him (errrr.. three) that I just read. I looked at his one sidebar and found there was none, so I guess this would be a useful addition to his widgets, for his readers who come to his blog for a piece of creative writing to inspire them. The template is dark, and although that’s the case, I think it still suits his writings. The header is a great work of art, a peaceful scene that I could just stare at for hours.

Yeah, that’s a bummer – this lack of categories. So how else can we know for sure if he’s got something like erotic poems hidden somewhere in his uber creative writing blog! That’s oversight, but can be remedied easily. How about if I look for unrequited love poems? Or poems written while drunk a la Edgar A. Poe? But perhaps it’s best we ask the good doctor. Let’s wait for his prognosis. Ahahaha.
i was also looking for his erotic poems, what do you know. haha!
hhahha erotic poems tlga dpat ang hanap?? adik!
How cool is this? My good friend Doctor (ehem) Lorenzo is featured on your awesome blog! :D Way to go Doc.
I am sure Zorlone would appreciate the suggestion! Awesome awesome.. :D
thanks for dropping by rey! and i sure hope Doc would find the benefit of putting a category list
Hello Mommy Kaye,
Thank you so much for featuring my blog and I really appreciate the suggestion. Been wanting to do that for ages and it’s about time that I work on it.
Oh, “those” poems, got that. I’ll make sure to label them properly. he he he.
Z
wow. i’m flattered you took notice of my review. is it rey’s fault? errrr.. rey that i have to thank for for leading you to my blog? or jan? or did you wander here by yourself
How can I not take notice, it is a humbling experience for my blog to be featured on someone else’s blog. This is really cool mommy Kaye. Give me some time to work on my blog because I have been absent in the blogosphere in a while. First came nanowrimo then some other personal stuff.
Thanks to Jan and Reyjr for letting me know about the post and thank you once again.
Z
hey no hurries. and i hope you finish your novel on time ;)
yey! way to go, doc Z! hehe. nga doc.
psst.. kaye! tulungan mo nalang si doc Z mag ayos ng blog nya. wahihi! ^^

Nice write-up on one of my favorite sites! (And you’re so right! Z needs to set up some categories. I, on the other hand, have extra categories to spare.)
if you will be so kind as to share it with him.
do you have a spare erotic category (oddly, the first time i typed that last word, it was spelled cateORGY.
)? because i was looking for that in his blog
Hi all!
Categories are actually listed at the top of the page just below the header (the default theme’s setting) and also on the sidebar (which doesn’t simply list down each category, but different categories featuring recent posts per category with thumbnails).
Most blogs aren’t configured that way (I installed a widget for that), but I thought it would look a bit more different from other personal blogs that simply lists down categories. Besides, the blogs that use advanced themes and settings are also growing by the minute.
So I guess this isn’t obvious to those who commented about the lack of categories? Should it be reverted to the simple text style of categories, or just prominently enhance that of the header of his theme to make that look more like categories and not pages?
(I was the one who helped DocZ setup his blog theme and plugins.)
i can’t find either the category listings at the bottom of the header or that on the sidebar. maybe the good doc decided to remove them? or accidentally deleted the widgets? either way i can’t see them. would be great, though, if there were such widgets. would greatly enhance navigation on Z’s site. just my two cents
