Svet And The Cable Quest
There are hours in a day when you need your child occupied with something else other than playtime with you. Especially for a work at home mom like me. Sometimes, I feel like there is no visible line between playing time with Svet and work. I would leave my work whenever Svet feels like calling “mommy! mommy! mommy!” or when I just want to imitate animal sounds with her or do a dance with her while she watches TV. That’s what keeps her busy these days while I’m at work. Reading animal books with her dad and watching TV. She loves animals and insects (takes after her dad) so I thought it would be good for her to watch National Geographic channel or Animal Planet to also keep her busy when her dad is doing housework.
I have been considering to request for cable installation, to give Svet additional channels to watch aside from the usual Channel 10 (GMA channel). There is one Satellite TV Provider I am eyeing, but I need to make sure their service is reliable. So I went online to compare. I found DirectSatTV.com as one of the more popular DIRECTV Resellers in the U.S. Unfortunately, we cannot avail of their services due to geographical difference, so I looked further for local cable service providers. But for sure, I will keep the DIRECTV Service in mind as I continue with my search, to serve as a standard for my cable needs.
What would you recommend? Note that I’m from Baguio and in a town where cable installations of any kind is comparatively harder than in places like Metro Manila. Hard, right?
