If I wasn’t deathly afraid at the mere sight of blood, I know I wold have been a nurse now, or at least taken up nursing in college. There’s a lot about being in health care that I like, particularly the feeling of being able to help people in my own way while getting paid at the same time. If I was to pursue nursing now, I know it wouldn’t be impossible, as there are a lot of accredited nursing degrees online that I can enroll in should I wish to. Of course there’s the hindrance again of me being queasy around blood, an inevitable part of the job of being a nurse. I would’ve looked great in scrubs. Hee hee.
But isn’t it so much easier now that we have online classes available? Even moms like me who are staying at home most of the time can pursue a lifelong dream that we weren’t able to realize because of one thing or another. Nursing courses, one of the most sought-after courses nowadays, is no exception to the rule of having presence in the online world. There are even sites like ClassesAndCareers.com which compile for you a list of accredited nursing courses online which makes your search for a fitting online class a whole lot of easier. I heard from my cousin (who is a registered nurse) that the job opportunities are plenty, whether it is abroad or local. It’s a comforting thought for aspiring nurses, but one must keep in mind that the necessary skill set for the job needs to be developed, in order to make job-hunting so much easier.
