Some of you may know that I am deathly terrified of just the mere sight of blood, so I probably won’t make a very useful nurse when I faint every time I see blood. But goodness, have you seen the design of women’s scrubs lately? I would suffer the sight of blood in silence if only for those cute get-ups. Gone are the days when nurses look utterly boring, so much so that we patients tend to dismiss them immediately as people who are just there to do their jobs and nothing more, but lately, with the manufacture of fashionable nursing items, we cannot help but notice.
How can you not take a second look at a female nurse with a fun, girlish print on her scrub hat or a male nurses with great-fitting scrub uniforms of really pleasant hues? If you ask me, this little things make the nurses seem more friendly and less terrifying to approach. I’m just sad that my cousin who is a registered nurse is not currently practicing her profession. She’s in the call center industry (typical of us Filipinos), and I don’t think she’s happy about it. Maybe I should show her some of the nursing uniforms I found, see if I can sway her a bit.
