Niko came to me early one morning, seemingly very agitated about an announcement that will force her to leave the familiarity and simpleness of Blogger and move to the exciting new world of WordPress. I promised to help her in transitioning all her nine blogs (plus four of his husband’s), and since Sam wasn’t too busy that time, gladly helped me out. We needed new themes, obviously, and since Sam is a huge Headway fan, we decided to use that for faster theme creation. We needed to transfer two of Niko’s blogs immediately, if her application to a site is to be accepted, so we arranged those first.
I haven’t tried my hand at Headway before, as much as I wanted to (and I even promised Sam to learn it), but since that day we installed the new theme at Plate and Me (Niko’s food blog), I am in love with Headway. I promised myself I would buy a developer’s license no matter what, but since it’s not exactly the cheapest purchase I will make, it’s taking me time. But enough about my Headway obsession. Let’s talk about Niko’s new look. So her food blog got an instant makeover, and I so love the header that came out. It’s something that makes you want to stare at for a long time, and the green shade of the site is just heaven.
