I’ve been getting good feedback from people looking at my portfolio site about this particular design I made for Erica’s travel blog, My Two Roads, and I’m tickled pink because even though I know it’s one of my better design inspirations, it helps my self-esteem a bunch that people other than the blog owner appreciate it a lot.
The original design for My Two Roads is far from what it looks like now. The first mockup was cartoon-y, and while Erica liked it, she was looking for more realistic-looking pieces in the header. Good thing I found the clip arts in the current header when I did, because it certainly gave life to her site in ways that a cartoon header wouldn’t have brought out.
