Woot! Fedhz sent over several pictures of us through messenger the other day and I only had the time to post it now (was [still is] working on a template). I haven’t talked to her since then because they don’t have Internet up to now (but knowing Fedhz, she can’t last without contact so she sent me an über long email instead. :haha: ) Marces Chris, Gene, Jade, Kikamz, Liz, Mye, Niko, Pehpot, Seiko and Yami, eat your hearts out! :lol: So yes, you better come on June or miss out on another fun get together!

No, we don’t live underground, and if you’ve been to Baguio and saw how houses here are built, you will know what I’m talking about. Anyways, after all the time Fedhz and I have wasted spent talking to each other, it wasn’t until today that I discovered she is afraid of steep stairs. And not even steep steep stairs, I don’t think the ones we have here are that steep. Good thing there are handrails to keep her steady, or she would have spent her whole vacation here inside our house.

I mentioned here that we went to town proper, but originally to go bargain shopping at the legion of ukay-ukay (used articles, i.e bags and clothes) shops which Baguio is famous for, to do the groceries and go to the wet market for our food. But while eating I noticed Fedhz can hardly keep her eyes open from tiredness, so I told Mike and Paulie that we’ll go straight home while they go to the grocery. Naturally, we took Yz and Svet with us, and we were very, very slow in descending because she was afraid that she might slip or something. We were talking and laughing (me laughing at her and she laughing at herself.  :lol: ) all the way with the dead weight of the two toddlers on our shoulders (both of them fell asleep in the taxi) so imagine the shortness of breath. But hey, it’s not everyday I get to be with my marce like that so it’s more than okay. What’s with the title? Filler post, see. :lol:

Blame it on the cartoons that distracts me from doing my work. Tee hee. I know that me and the marces’ geographical distance from Jade right now is keeping us from truly supporting the girl that we love, but I’m sure that Jade knows how much we are praying for her dreams to finally come true. This side of Jade she shows through her blog, HealthAndBeautyDiva.com. She started the site almost a year ago, but for some reason, she only started blogging in it last March. Let’s not snoop around for the reason why, shall we, and focus on the contents and the design. :tongue: It uses the Vigilance Theme, one of the cleanest themes (resembling the Thesis theme which Fedhz is crazy about) I’ve seen from WordPress. As usual, Jade’s preference in her design is minimalistic, as is evident in all her other blogs. There’s not much clutter on the sidebars, and the content takes up the most space, shining the spotlight on the entries. The topics, as the domain suggests, range from body health to maintaining one’s outside beauty (and inside glow, as well). The author believes that beauty is linked with our health, so combining the two issues in one blog is a natural choice. There aren’t a lot of entries here yet, but what is there you will surely find value in reading. Tips which are really easy to follow can be picked up in one of the several items in the archives of Jade’s blog.

This niche blog of hers focuses more on the aspects of homemaking (tips on how to make your home a better place to live in), and on her being a full-time housewife to wonderful Dutch husband. There are still personal posts here and there, and in the earlier days of the blog’s existence, entries about contests are to be seen frequently. There is a recipe section, and although there are only several posts in that category, I am sure that Jade will increase that number in time. Her template, as usual, is as simple as her other blog designs, so readability is maximized. There aren’t a lot of sidebar graphics, so the page loads super fast (a plus on my part since I have uber slow internet connection :sheepish: ) This blog is not as busy as her other sites, but it doesn’t mean that there is nothing worth reading here. You will still find the same lightness and humor that you find in all of her other blogs, which is both endearing and addicting at the same time. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. :wink:

It’s like browsing a fashion magazine, only that her blog doesn’t make me feel insecure about myself like those magazines do (which is why I rarely read them). She doesn’t have an About page, but it’s not like I need to read it since I already know her :tongue: , so that was only pointed out as an observation (and as a hint for Jade to make one :haha: ). The header is absolutely fantastic, not too flashy like most fashion sites, but conveys the theme of her blog in one swift look. The rest of the site is simply made up, which reveals the owner’s preference in blog designs. The posts are reader-friendly, and can be understood by even a fashion klutz like moi. I’ve always been insecure reading fashion blogs because there are usually terms embedded in the posts that my mind cannot grasp the concept of :lol: Not only is DivaFabulosa about the latest fashion trends, it also features Hollywood gossip, skin care, product reviews and from time to time, weird fashion items for women. Overall, a good blog to read if you’re a woman and like to look and feel beautiful!

One is called MommaWannabe, very apt as she and her husband is trying to conceive (and everyone in the blogosphere is waiting in rapt attention for her wonderful announcement). I didn’t know what IVF meant until I read it from her, but her blog is so much more than just her IVF journey. There are humorous entries which never fail to make me laugh, memes and tags, her life as an expat in Singapore, her husband and a whole host of other categories. The template is pink, so obviously I am in love with it. The simplicity of the layout makes it easy on the eyes (not to mention SEO-friendly).

Honestly, I have never dug into her archives until today, and when I read her post about her miscarriage, tears just flowed and I felt her pain that time. Having had a pretty easy time during my own pregnancy, I wasn’t able to relate to her when she first mentioned it. But having read how she felt when that happened, brought me face-to-face with the realization how strong and brave this woman is. If you are trying to conceive like her, feel free to visit her blog as I am sure you will learn a lot from her journey to becoming a mom.
