Foggy Fog

The house we moved into has a great view. Unfortunately, our crappy camera cannot make you sympathize with that statement. Hehe. It gets all foggy all over the place without fail during the afternoons, so much so that you can’t even see your hand clearly if you put it in front of your face. Svet enjoys the fog a lot. She calls it the foggy fog (from one of the Dora episodes she has come to memorize. LOL), and she squeals with delight when its time for our afternoon play outside.

At night, we can see all the beautiful lights coming from the houses below us, very much like the picture above (photography by Gerald James Cabal, click for better view). Paulie and I like this view so much that we sometimes go out just to stare at the lights and talk. It’s quite chilly especially in the evening, and if we had outdoor seating of any sort we’d be bringing outdoor pillows and our trusty comforter with us so we can stay longer outside. The view is definitely one of the reasons why I’m liking this new place, even though our house is really small.

The Stairs

The title might sound like this is a horror story. It is, but not in the Amityville Horror sense. I mentioned here a while ago that I discovered Fedhz’ fear of steep stairs, and she had trouble walking up and down ours when she was here. I found it very hard to traverse the stairs, too, when I first got here, but of course I had no choice but to learn to live with it. Tee hee. It’s also the reason why when we do the groceries, we do them by the bulk that will last us at least two weeks. Want to see?

Going up and down in them twice a day should definitely count as a free and quick weight loss program. Paulie is the only one brave enough to traverse those twice a day. I don’t have enough breath for it, unfortunately. And it’s not as if I need any losing weight.

Fedhz And I

The long-delayed pictures are here for the posting! Woot! Fedhz sent over several pictures of us through messenger the other day and I only had the time to post it now (was [still is] working on a template). I haven’t talked to her since then because they don’t have Internet up to now (but knowing Fedhz, she can’t last without contact so she sent me an über long email instead. :haha: ) Marces Chris, Gene, Jade, Kikamz, Liz, Mye, Niko, Pehpot, Seiko and Yami, eat your hearts out! So yes, you better come on June or miss out on another fun get together!

Hot, Hot, Hot

The weather here is. I’ve been sweating (albeit just a bit) lately, and I’m not even wearing thick clothes. When we first got here, I had to wear layers and layers of protective clothing to keep me relatively warm, otherwise I’d have frozen my head off. Now it’s down to shorts and loose shirts and I’m still feeling the heat. It’s either I am already used to the cold here (or at least, what used to be the cold) or it’s the El Niño phenomenon at work. Either way, the heat is making me uncomfortable, and it doesn’t even feel like Baguio anymore (save for the clean air).
