I was sheriffed yesterday, and I’m ecstatic. And no, I am not yet crazy. I bet a lot of you can understand why I am one excited blogger right now. This is the first time the sheriff went looking out for me, and imagine my surprise when I found those cute little sheriff badges waiting for me at my dashboard. My heart was filled with overflowing joy, I swear.

When I was first asked by marce Jade (or was it Fedhz? LOL) if I have already been sheriffed, I was mortified and said no, of course not. Why would I be sheriffed? I did nothing wrong. It was explained to my baffled mind that it will be one happy day when I finally get sheriffed, and I need not do anything wrong (in fact, one must not do anything wrong) to be given the honor.
And a happy day it is.
This is me, sour graping. LOL. Yesterday, my sister Ayie (or Pibyang, as she signs all her comments) got four jobs from Blogsvertise, two $20 and 2 $15 tasks. That amounts to $70, which is several dollars bigger than what I have earned in my whole time as a member of the site (since September 2009)! Now am I envious? Of course I am! What does the advertisers see in her two sites that they don’t see in my blogs, huh? To think that she just signed up at the site last week.
But of course, I’m also glad for her. She’s starting to earn now on her own, which is the most important thing for me. I hope she gets accepted on the other sites I told her to sign up on, too. So she can become independent from my mom already, and ease some of my mom’s financial burdens. And yes, I am thinking of letting her write for me from time to time, too, when I’m busy with templates and stuff. I think she’s only person I’ll trust to write for me, since I will be able to reprimand her freely for her wrong grammar and spelling. Niahaha.
All I can say now is, good luck sister, on your first steps as an earning blogger. And I hope Blogsvertise gives you more jobs! Yes, even though I hate you for that.
I took a $4 job from Bloggerwave a while back to test if they are really paying. I submitted the article April 5, 2010, and got the payment on June 24, 2010. So that makes the waiting period two months and 19 days. The period is a lot longer than what most other pay to post sites offer, and in truth, I have almost forgotten that I was still waiting for the payment when it came. But I’m still glad that it did, and decided to take another two jobs from them (same amount per job, $4) to see if they would pay me the second time. I’ll keep you posted when I receive it, although I seriously have no idea when. The two screenshots below are taken from my Bloggerwave dashboard and Paypal account, proof of the jobs I taken, and the first payment I received from them. Just click for a better view.

This is not to say that Bloggerwave is not a scam. I just want to share that the company paid me, albeit very late. I would still use caution in dealing with the company, and not take too many jobs from them, especially that their payment periods are not definite. Anyways, as mentioned, I will post a proof if and when they pay me again for the other two jobs I’ve taken. Wish me luck.
Earning while playing may sound like an impossibility, but with the advent of the Internet, people are given the opportunity to do just that. I know a friend of a cousin who is still a student, but who already earns thousands of our local currency just by creating WoW accounts and selling them to fellow WoW players who do not have enough time to advance their characters but want to play just the same. When they buy WoW accounts from him, clients are purchasing accounts that took him a while to improve the level of, thus the justification in the price. It is easy to find sites and individuals whom you can buy WoW account from, what with the massive popularity of the game, but there are also scams abound, so always be careful when transacting online.
